Work Management Overview
Work Management is a set of capabilities within Socotra to support users in doing their jobs, for example:
Recording and reviewing human-authored contextual data associated with quotes, policies, etc.
Being alerted to important system events
Having direct accesss and references to data that relates to their work
Organizing and tracking important tasks that require attention
Defining the structure of relations between within and across workgroups and other parts of the organization
Work management is supported by these features:
Diaries: Human written textual information with history that can be associated with quotes, policies, and other entities
Tasks: These are concrete units of work for individual users. These might include property inspections, reviews, approvals, etc.
User Associations: These represent the relationship between users and entities like accounts or policies, and the specific role that the user has in that relationship
Other functionality under development includes:
Workgroups, which represent groups of users and are organized in a heirarchy
Automated Assignment, which enables the creation of tasks and user associations, where the system then assigns it to an appropriately situated and qualified user
Workplans, which can ngenerate sets of tasks triggered by system events (such as quote creation), followed by automated assignment of each one
Notifications, so users can be alerted to important events triggered by internal or external activity
